Camembert with Almonds

After putting the bowl in front of your guests, everyone dips their stick in the melted cheese. One of the greatest advantages of this appetizer is that it is easy and very quick to prepare, particularly when guest arrive unexpected at the last minute.

Ingredients:

  • A round Camembert (about 250 gr)
  • A handful of sliced almonds
  • A dash of brandy
  • Bread sticks (Grissol or something similar)

Method:

  • Cut off the top crust of the cheese with a sharp knife
  • Place the cheese in a onion soup bowl
  • Cover the cheese with almonds and drizzle with brandy
  • Place in the oven at broil for about 5 minutes and serve immediately
  • Eat by dipping the bread sticks in the melted cheese
